When visiting Madrid for Travelteq, I was taken around town by our two lovely agents. They know Madrid well and I asked them for a nice and happening place to go for lunch. They both immediately said, Flash Flash.
So that is where we went. Flash Flash is located in one of the fancy shopping areas of Madrid named Salamanca. The contrast with the restaurant and the prominent area is huge. It seems like you enter a film set from another time. Everything is white and neat. The restaurant is all open and set around a big bar. People start having lunch around 02.00 pm. A mix of suits, celebrities and shopping public come in slowly and wait at the bar until the their table is ready.
The specialty of Flash Flash is their amazing tortilla. They come in many different varieties. We tried the tortilla with truffels and cheese. It was really delicious. Very light and tasteful. You wouldn't expect that from, what we would call, an omelette. As a main we ordered the hamburger and a side salad. I must say that the hamburger could be better. So we tried another omelette. Which was again really delicious. So my advise. Stick to the specialty and a side salad and you will have a great meal.
