The white piano and bass in the middle of the restaurant caught my attention, according to the owner Filip both instruments can be found in his two restaurants and hotel. All in traditional Macedonian style with beams and white plastered walls. Clearly no idea what to expect I quickly took a peak at the menu and ordered the carpaccio as a starter. Within a few minutes the waiter served a large plate with the sliced meat, fresh salad and a great dressing. For the main course I had the mixed-grill, Macedonia is known for meals with large steaks but this was over the top. My knife slided through the meat as if it was butter and the taste was fantastic. In the end I could barely eat my ice cream for desert. I left the restaurant with a full stomach and paid just over 9 euro’s including tip! If you ever visit Ohrid, please check Restaurant Belvedere, located in the middle of Ohrid centre with a lovely view on Lake Ohrid. Every evening live music!
