LE SOMMELIER

A delightful place in the city centre for anyone who enjoys good wine and seriously delicious food. The kitchen is run by chef Francis Cardenau, who previously steered the restaurant Kommandenten into the Michelin guide. Now he has his own French restaurant and wine bar which has an informal atmosphere and an impressive wine list. Here you can drink rare heavyweights like Montrachet Grand Cru from Romanée Conti and the unsurpassed Montrachets and Meursaults from Comte Lafon. It also has an excellent range of Pinot Noirs from New Zealand and extraordinary Californian Chardonnays including Kistler and Shafer. All this, of course, at Scandinavian prices. Closed Saturday lunch and Sunday lunch.

GODT

The name is a reference to the achievements of chef Colin Rice, which are magnificent. Behind Godt's azure blue façade there's only room for 20 guests which gives the restaurant an intimate feel. The kitchen crew take their cue from whatever's supplied fresh that day and cook what's in season. Closed Sunday and Monday.
